My own experiences have made me extremely passionate about helping other women to take control of their health and life, and it is what ultimately inspired and excited me about qualifying as a Health Coach.
I went through a year of very ill health. Prior to becoming ill, I had spent years burning the candle at both ends and was completely burnt out by my lifestyle. I found myself reaching more and more for sugar and caffeine to get through the day. I gained unwanted weight, didn't have the energy to eat well or look after myself, and I felt like I was dropping all the spinning plates I was trying to juggle at work and at home.
Once things had come to a head, I knew that I needed to make a change. Through gradual changes to what I eat and the life I live, I have reclaimed my own health and have more energy and vitality now than I have ever felt. Most importantly, I’ve rediscovered my passion for life, and what brings me happiness and fulfilment.
Through my own experiences and my training as a Health Coach, I've found practices and tools to make healthy eating simple and a source of energy and enjoyment, rather than stress! Eating nutritious food doesn't have to be boring (forget garden salads and bland soup), and it certainly doesn't have to hold you back from enjoying a few glasses of wine with friends, or an excellent brownie from your work bake sale. It's all about balance, and I love working with clients to help them out of that place of overwhelm and exhaustion, to find what that ideal balance looks like for them.
